Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Sue E. Van Dootingh, O.D. the leading provider of vision care products and services in Port Clinton.

Dr. Van Dootingh

Dr. Van Dootingh has been in practice in Port Clinton since 1987. She moved to her current location across from the Port Clinton High School in 2010. This location offers handicapped accessibility and ample parking. Dr. Van Dootingh went to the University of Toledo for her undergraduate degree and received her optometry degree from The Ohio State University. She lives in Port Clinton with her husband Russ. Their three daughters graduated from Port Clinton High School and are currently in college. Her favorite activities outside of her practice are bicycling and travel.


JoAnn Cook

JoAnn Cook has worked as an optician for Dr. Van Dootingh since 2002. She is very fashion saavy and helps patients with their choice of eyewear in addition to recommending the best optical correction for each patient’s needs. When not working, JoAnn enjoys a good game of golf.


Kelly Drusbacky

Kelly Drusbacky started here in 2013 as an optometric assistant. Her primary tasks are getting the patients checked in and pretested before the doctor sees them. Kelly’s infectious smile helps put everyone at ease as she prepares the patients. Kelly enjoys gardening, going to the beach and tennis.


Nikki Hepner

Nikki has joined the practice in 2015 as the insurance and billing assistant.Nikki’s calm manner is a real help during our busy times. Nikki enjoys spending time with her 3 daughters and her horse Ebony.
